New Daycare Center to Open in DivcoWest’s Cambridge Crossing Neighborhood

WorldSong Schools to Expand Montessori Inspired Learning for Young Children CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – August 19, 2024 – DivcoWest, a DivCore Capital company and the national real estate investment and development team behind the destination neighborhood and innovation hub, Cambridge Crossing (CX), announced today that WorldSong Schools, formerly Rock and Roll Daycare, will be opening at CX in early 2025. This will be the fourth location for WorldSong Schools, a local early education and daycare consortium founded in 2012. The program has grown from a small two-room facility to a multi-site operation across Cambridge and Somerville. WorldSong is dedicated to providing safe and quality education to families and children, with lasting impact through researched practice implementation. The Montessori-inspired early childhood program follows a child-based curriculum that encourages learning through independence, creativity, and culture while placing an emphasis on music. Children participate in music classes daily and curriculum includes language development, cultural studies and practical life skills. "We are excited to introduce WorldSong Schools to the Cambridge community," said Dennis O’Donnell, Managing Director, Investments at DivcoWest. "We believe this new facility will provide crucial support to residents and area employees, enhancing family life and work-life balance. We look forward to a long-term partnership and having WorldSong join the neighborhood." This new WorldSong location will be situated at the ground level of Park151 within the CX neighborhood and will accommodate 70 children (+/-) including rooms for infants, toddlers and preschoolers. Registration will be available to those who live and work at CX, as well as to residents of East Cambridge and Charlestown. “At WorldSong, our focus is always on providing the best music based, Montessori childcare and programming to help children develop and thrive in their environment,” said Christopher Vuk, CEO at WorldSong. “We’re excited to open a location at CX and become a part of the community. Cambridge has always been a part of who we are, and we look forward to expanding further.” WorldSong Schools has been nominated and won Boston Magazine’s Best of Boston award for multiple years (both as WorldSong Schools and Rock and Roll Daycare).
